I have been approached quite a bit lately in regards to these energy companies that work on the MLM principle. They go by many names, but the most popular are Ambit Energy, Stream Ignite Energy and Zurvita energy, all are MLM energy opportunities. I have found that the people working for them are very dedicated and loyal.

In fact, they are some of the most aggressive of all MLM consultants that I have found. But this is not a negative mark on them. These folks really want to make a living with the energy business and are willing to sacrifice for it.

I thing that many of you may think they are too aggressive.

But for me, I am seriously considering joining Ambit or Stream Ignite. I don’t see them as scams like a lot of their critics have talked about.

The scam can only come if you don’t try. That is the scam that I see and it is you scamming yourself, not Ambit or Stream scamming you. Does that make sense? It certainly does to me. I am wishing all of you the best of luck in your business! Here’s to Stream Energy successs!

My husband and I promised each other long before the children were born that we would always take some time for ourselves. One way in which we are able to do so is to take an occasional weekend off from life and spend it at a Bed and Breakfast, or B&B. Over the years we have seen and embraced the changes that the every day B&B has gone through. When we started our little adventures most local B&B’s were nothing but just what their title said, they were places where you could get a “Bed” and a “Breakfast”. But as with anything else in life, time seems to change things. Now you can pretty much get any thing you want at any kind of B&B that you want. We have seen B&B’s that offer rooms with themes, with water slides, on glaciers, on boats, and so on. We have even been adventurous enough to try a few “out of the box” kinds of B&B’s for ourselves! Over time what we have come away with from these times together is just that, that spending time together is above all else more important than any theme or crazy out of the box “stuff” that comes up along the way.

When making travel plans one thing that is always of major concern is where one is going to stay. Might I suggest searching for a local Bed and Breakfast (B&B) instead of choosing a hotel chain to stay with? Your choice of a B&B could indeed promise a more personal and comfy choice over the everyday hotel experience. One of the most expressed comments in regards to staying at a Bread and Breakfast is that of the personal touch provided by the host or hostess and that “at home” feeling one receives in being there. There is just something to be said about staying somewhere that feels like home, but you have none of the responsibilities calling at you.

While at a B&B one also can often have the option of having evening and morning meals prepared for you. This option makes even the best “Continental” breakfast on the planet turn your nose! If given the choice while you are traveling would you rather get your fill on a home cooked breakfast or a hardboiled egg and some packaged oatmeal? There is just something about having special about having a meal versus having a “to go” snack. And often while traveling one gets just about enough of the fast food venue and can instead choose at a B&B to have a true dinner with real forks! There is truly no reason that you can’t travel and still enjoy all the comforts that “home” has to offer and somehow no mint on the pillow can bring that warm personal feeling!

Growing grass from seed is one of the more challenging aspects of being a lawn care homeowner. If you can master this art of lawns and grass, then you should really have no trouble making the rest of the turf nice, green and healthy.

All you need is some patience, some water, some warm temps and a nice and prepared soil bed for the grass seed to germinate into.

Grass seed is really great for helping thicken the lawn and make the overall appearance more healthy and vigorous.

If you start growing grass seed in the spring of the season, you can also do it again in the fall time making the grass growing that much thicker, smarter and thicker overall in appearance and green color. having a green, thick lawn is really the main goal we are shooting for.

If you are thinking of growing grass seed in your lawn, I highly recommend you start right away and get on the move. The sooner you start with growing the seed, the better results your will; get.

Remember, when growing grass from seed you need tons and tons of water water water water, heat and some soil! Now grow it!

For those who love collecting Christmas ornaments, the best examples of antique American Christmas ornaments are those that were created by the Shiny Brite Company. With the onset of WWII, the traditional Germanic way of decorating with silver and lacquer to create beautiful Christmas ornaments, had to be stopped due to the shortage of the materials. Max Eckhart the founder of Shiny Brite, focused on using pastel paints, and bright paint colors to fashion whimsical Christmas ornaments. Almost like how to put up Christmas lights.
During the 1950’s a great many of the Shiny Brite ornaments were lost or destroyed because of the popularity of the metallic Christmas tree trend that became so fashionable. The whimsy and charm of the Shiny Brite ornaments did not fit in with the ‘modern’ home décor at Christmas time. This caused a scarcity of the now antique American Christmas ornaments. The manufacture of the Shine Brite ornaments stopped completely in 1962, and the company turned to fashioning plastic ornaments.
When searching for antique American Christmas ornaments or more specifically for Shiny Brite ornaments there are a few things to look for in order to date the ornaments correctly. Beginning in 1948 and running till around 1954, Shiny Brite made indented bumpy ornaments. They then began producing the solid color, and oval shaped Christmas ornaments. Around 1955 they manufactured the indented ornaments with stripes, and shapes like Christmas boots, and Santa hats. All of them featured the Shiny Brite logo, and are unique in color and texture.
The beauty of the Shiny Brite Christmas ornaments is their ability to bring a touch of long ago into your home or add to a growing collection. For those who find the ornaments intriguing, but expensive, there are manufacturers who have restored the original molds, and design elements of the antique American Christmas ornaments. The most celebrated of these is the Christopher Radko line of vintage replicas. Choosing these delicate ornaments to enhance a vintage Christmas theme is a fantastic way to achieve the look, without the price of antique American Christmas ornaments.

My husband pulled off his first and only surprise to me on my thirtieth birthday. We had been invited over to some friend’s house for dinner and I, being totally me, had a complete melt down beforehand trying to decide what to wear. I was totally worked up about my silly outfit and what dish to bring to share! Crazy stuff I tell you, carazier than getting head lice! Anyway, so we were supposed to be at their house at three that afternoon and by four we were just leaving the house. I was all stressed out over something as silly as my clothes and food! My poor husband now driving like a crazy man down the beach! We arrive at their home and as we walk in I notice a birthday cake sitting on their stove. I remember thinking to myself that she must have made that for my boys because their birthday is just a few days from mine. When I heard the giant crowd scream, “SURPRISE” it still didn’t totally register with me! And there I was making everyone wait forever!!! Now they were all smiling and hollering at me “Happy Birthday!!!” I felt like a total goof, but a very, very blessed one!

As a joke one time I decided that it would be funny to give my husband a small hickey on his neck. I thought it was hilarious one weekend and the little thing was still there when he went to work on Monday. He called me in the morning hours to let me know that his office staff had noticed the silly thing and that he was now the butt of many jokes around the office. Of course, I still thought that was pretty funny. It wasn’t until his after lunch call that I started to think that this was not such a great idea. He called to inform me that he had been pulled into his boss’s office and spoken to sternly about office policy and proper personal appearance. With that he had told me he had to go as there was a meeting now happening “in his honor” with several heads of the company. Of course I started to sweat and feel just awful that my little joke had gone this far. An hour later he called to let me know that he had been terminated for some sort of indecent behavior at work. I was totally devastated and starting crying. It was then that he whispered sweetly two little words “April Fools”. Who knew it was April first!

I was recently approached by a good friend who wanted me to join this Ambit Energy marketing thing. He said that since he and I were friends, I should trust him and sign up. I don’t know if that makes any difference, but the thing really is a typical multi level marketing thing and that right there turns me off big time.
I was wondering what you guys thought about it too?
I did some research, well, because I was curious, and I found a site about Ambit Energy Scam Complaints.
THe site is definitely one sided. I mean, the author got burned on this socalled “scam” and he is not afraid to talk about it. But really, he mentions something that hit home for me. he said that he did not like all the pressuring he was asked to do with his friends and family. Which brings me back to the first part of this little blog post. That really did make it feel somewhat like a “scam.”
what do you guys think? should I look into the ambit energy thing or just let it go?
